the G's LINKS:Archives:
Link to our old blogspot blog so you can catch up on what entries
you missed before we upgraded to this website. Skrivan Scribbles: They finally have a blog! My brother Adam and his wife Erika have many cute stories as they experience their first few years of marriage on Lookout Mountain while they both work for Covenant College. Their lives are about to significantly change as they move from the heart of the south back to their roots, Tacoma, WA this summer. Erika is one of the most faithful bloggers I know! Covblogs: Great website that hosts RSS feeds for many Covenant College Alumni's blogs. This is a fun way to keep up with people without having to remember all of their blog addresses, and it gives you a peek into people's lives who you normally wouldn't have kept up with! Spanish Morning: My very first college roommate Dawn chronicles her life with her husband and two boys while they live in Maryland. Dawn's heart always shines through her posts and you rarely have to go too long without seeing updated pictures of her little boys. She is also very good about choosing colors on her blog that will get her readers into the mood of whatever new season or holiday is approaching. McNutt Family: Nathaniel met Doug in college, and the two have been close ever since. Thankfully he married Kelly because now we are good friends and even though they live all the way in Alabama, we regularly keep in touch and try to see each other at least once a year. Their blog is a fun way to see their growing family and the fun little ins and outs of their daily lives. Lydia's Cozy Corner: We know Lydia from Covenant College, but now know her even better since she also lives in San Diego. Her blog is a delightful showcase of her newest creations, both in the kitchen and on paper. Check out her new business called "Lydia's Pen and Paper" and look for the adorable handmade ornaments she sells as well. Warning, do not look at this website if you do not want to be totally impressed and/or feel totally jealous! The Wallers: Our good friends out here in CA. Bryce is also a WSCAL student and Lisa is a teacher. They live in our same apartment complex and we enjoy bumping into each other when we do laundry and check the mail! Sadly, we are going to lose the Wallers when Bryce graduates this spring and they move to Montanna for an internship. N's Blog: Ode to Aaron: Our satirical blog all about my little brother Aaron. We don't get around to updating it too often, but when we do, well, it is well worth your time. Our MTW Website: Because we are MTW missionaries, they provided us with this website to store our monthly (read: more like quarterly) prayer and update letters. Check it out if you want to read what's been going on in our ministry, and even more fun, Nathaniel's prayer letters from when he was in college (i.e. before he met me!) and doing missions work in Peru. Flanagan Clan: Sarah is a long time friend. I believe we met when I was in 7th grade. She is now married with three happy and lively boys and always has funny stories to share about what goes on in their home. Be sure to also check out her other blog, which accounts her various craft projects, and the new business she is starting! The Brink Fam: Katy is one of the few people in our lives who has actually experienced our Peru with her own eyes! She met Nathaniel when she came down on a missions trip and has faithfully kept up with us ever since. She and her husband have a darling little girl who is well worth checking out their blog for. Little Lefebvre: Probably the longest friendship I have is with Tina. She and I met in 6th grade, and now she is going to be a mommy! Her blog is a fun way to keep up on what's new with her pregnancy, and what will soon be new with she and her husband as they raise their little baby girl. W.E.I.: Our little business. Do you need a prayer letter or business card done? Don't know how to write that brochure? Contact Writer's Edge International. (Hey, it's my blog, I can advertise on it if I want to!) Westminer Seminary: What will have defined four years of our life and the reason why we are in Escondido. This website just gives a glimpse of what Nathaniel's life is like at school. WSCAL Blogs: One WSCAL student's blog with links to many other WSCAL student's blogs. Mostly blogs about theology, but occasionally a fun family blog sneaks in there. Wren and Willow: Need and interior designer/contrator? Contact Wren and Willow Interior Design. Yes, a shameless plug for my mom's business. Angry Chicken: A fun, folksy blog highlighting various craft and cooking projects by Amy Karol. She is also the author of the fun book Bend the Rules Sewing. Anna Maria: This adorable, witty artist and seamstress has appeared on Martha Stewart and designs her own line of fabric, Chocolate Lollipop. Her blog has a nice blend of wholesome family stories and values, and fun crafty projects for the fun 20 something year old girl to do. Belle Epoque: I mostly like the tutorials this girl has on her blog. Try making the simple purse or tank top -- you will be amazed at how easy they really are to make! Free Patterns Online: I mean, who can resist anything free -- especially sewing patterns Purl Bee: Great online store, based in Soho, NYC. I particualrly love the variety of fabric they sell online and appreciate the funky prints that you simply cannot get at your local fabric store (especially in Escondido) Shim and Sons: A fun, hip, young mom blogs about her various craft projects which are always sleek and classy. I have gotten quite a few ideas from her and enjoy the way she inspires me to craft without feeling like I have to make a cheesy tissue box cover or a tea cozy. Her ideas are modern, fun and funky, and at the same time something you could easily see being displayed in Pottery Barn or Williams and Sononma. ![]() |
